Thank you for taking part in the Global Survey of the Living Conditions of Rural Women. This type of survey was first undertaken by the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) in 1935.
We know that the voices of rural women are the hardest to hear, and we want to change this. The data from this survey will be published, presented to policy-makers around the world, and shared with participating Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
Please try and answer every question in the survey – it should take you around 25 minutes. Some of the questions presented are very personal, and we understand that you may not wish to answer them. If you are uncomfortable, or would prefer not to answer one, you can skip a question. The questions here are intended to give us a clear understanding of how you view your living conditions, so your honesty and opinions are very valid and appreciated.
This survey has been examined by professionals and academics for quality control, and your data and answers will be kept confidentially and anonymously throughout this process. We will not ask for your name or address at any me. If you do not wish to complete the survey, you may stop at any time. If you are happy to proceed, please read the following statement on consent, and begin answering questions.
The Global Survey of the Living Conditions of Rural Women will open 15 March 2018 and close 31 December 2018. Initial results will be shared with consulting NGOs and States Parties in February 2019, and full results will be published in April 2019.
This survey is being conducted by the International Forum on Rural Women, a collaborative body for research convened by the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) and World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organisations.
